Very narrow specific knowledge about NC product

* The company treats employees as lines in a resource plan, not as a actual people * Internal politics result in a perpetual lack of qualified engineers on projects that are not yet under an imminent risk of complete collapse resulting in the few competent people being constantly overworked * Woefully under-qualified engineers are being tolerated for political reasons, which contributes further to gradual demotivation of the few experienced engineers * Legacy software stack and internal politics make it hard to grow professionally in technologies adopted by the rest of industry and instead encourage specialized knowledge of internal components, drastically sabotaging your value for other companies * Overtime culture: due to bad planning on part of management, some internal projects boast overtimes almost each weekends * Career growth caps at Senior/Lead Engineer level: the are no Principal Engineer / Tech Leads positions and instead you are pushed into management positions * Too many managers given the number of people doing actual job
