      They claim "people matter" - but they don't back it up

      Pros

      Great industry to be in, lots of exciting challenges to tackle. The structure of the organization allows for exposure to a wide variety of folks in different departments.

      Cons

      Expectations are astronomical; resources are ever-dwindling. Compensation is nowhere near competitive. Employees and managers are tasked with solving big challenges but not empowered to do so. People are in and out of there so quick it makes your head spin.

      Pros

      It's corporate America if you consider that a pro. Benefits, PTO, you're another number, head spinning speed training then you're ready.

      Cons

      Head spinning, speed training, you're expected to be an expert and be able to deliver to the client. Many of the 'biggies' that know the process, systems and can speak the client 'language' are getting better offers and leaving in droves and management is only looking at the bottom line not what it's costing them in customer satisfaction. Doesn't do much good to have a product and no customers. College grads may be cheap but you get what you pay for. Maybe this is the thinking of our shareholders and board who sit in a cushy office in SF and make demands. If "People Matter", do something to keep them. Catchy slogan with nothing backing it.
