Not Perfect, But What Company Is?

Pros

Netsmart is growing fast and does provide opportunity for growth. People on teams get along well and there is a lot of respect between these associates. Middle management are pretty flexible and trying to make strides towards improving morale and putting process in place. Though there may be periods of unbalanced work/home life, that appears to be improving as staff levels are increasing. Additionally, recent management changes have helped reduce the number of drive-by type "emergencies."

Cons

The company has grown too rapidly. While growing is a good problem, growing rapidly can cause many issues. There is lack of process and in an effort to plug the leaks that creates, often the best asset -- the people -- can be overlooked. There is a general overall feeling that Upper Management is not in touch with most employees and the middle management can only do so much. I suspect this can be said about several companies, though.

Don't Be Fooled

Pros

It's a pay check. Best if you're fresh out of college and not expecting much. But don't be fooled by the good reviews propaganda on here. It's just management trying to put up a good image with false reviews.

Cons

Oh where to start. Horrible pay with no raises. Management will sand bag you to make them look good. Management will take all the credit for your hard work but hang you out to dry when it's convenient. CEO is rarely there and when he is there he's more concerned with being buddies with the 20 something year old girls and playing beer pong. Management loves to micromanage every detail of ever position because they really play no function what so ever. Marketing is horrible. No one even knows who or what Netsmart is. Just google them and see. Their marketing team should be fired and outsourced. Products are subpar and look like they're out of the 1990's. The "iPad/iPhone apps" work... if you're lucky. More interest is free beer and parting than working hard. More interest in a failure of a "cutting edge" office than working hard. If you loved High School then you'll enjoy working at Netsmart.

Pros

Good Health Insurance that's about it

Cons

* Morale incredibly low * Employees are reprimanded in front of their peers regularly * Inadequate training for the job * Policies change with the wind * No comp time for after hours work (assigned regularly) * Interviewer was deceptive and lied about certain aspects of the company and position. * management has little regard for employees I can't speak for the main office in Overland Park as i worked in a satellite office, but judging from what I have seen and experienced..... run away from this company as fast as you can!!!!
