Pros

Work = A, Pay = A, overtime = C+, autonomy= A. I enjoyed working at NDI because they recognized my team and I as competent contractors and left the technical work to us. It is not the job of a companies board of directors to micromanage the technical aspects of a specialists job, it is their job to run a company. This is something they understood perfectly, and we had a wonderful working relationship. Any half competent contractor in their field will completely agree. I would be more than glad and willing to pick up another contract with them as soon as I am given the opportunity.

Cons

If you are not an expert you will not last. That is how business goes, and any rational company with rational leadership will not allow a person or team that does not perform to stay on the pay roll.

Pros

40 hour work week, no overtime

Cons

Network Designs Inc. is only interested in making $ -- not interested in the well being or professional development of employees. The minute there are rough waters they lay people off, even though they make a good profit.

Great small company to work for.

Pros

- Good projects - For a company this small, you get to work on projects that are at the cutting edge of latest technologies. - Competent colleagues - No bench warmers, you get to work with people with solid experience and background. Most of the employees are kind and caring and several of them have been here for years. - Freedom and flexibility - People here live in the real world. If your car breaks down and you are late for a meeting (or need to miss it), it will be understood. Lot of people work from home. As long you do not abuse the privilege, it really is a flexible place to work at. - Decent compensation - Within expected limits, they do not skimp and you can expect pay packages at the high end of what your role is usually offered.

Cons

- Because of dependency on one or two big clients, opportunities can sometimes be limited.
