None. There is nothing good about Neuberger Berman. It is a horrible place to work. The management from the CEO down is absolutely horrendous.

Cons

I don't even know where to begin with the cons of a company like Neuberger Berman. As one Managing Director once bragged, "we don't get rid of people, we just torture them until they quit." That same Managing Director also made negative comments about the women who reported to him and based all of his critiques on their physical attributes. If you want to work for the Deltas from Animal House, then you have found the company you are looking for. I only wish there was a way to leave negative stars. One star is far too generous.

Pros

Retirement contribution is 15% of total comp up to the max allowable amount which is pretty much unheard of. Start with 15 vacation days, 3 personal, 5 sick days. New office and central location.

Cons

Compensation. Lower salaries and lower bonuses than industry peers and 40 hour work weeks are unheard of unless your an admin and even then depending on the team even an admin can expect at least 50+ hours a week. Expect frequent 12+ hour days and take advantage of the days you can leave at a reasonable hour.

401k was good (15%) , Bonus was great. Active and HY portfolio management teams in Chicago office were really good.

Cons

Deceptive, Unethical, Poorly Managed, No Sense of Direction Ask folks to get MBA and they don't pay them back Working Here is Psychological Torture Work here if you want
