Pros

Good people. Opportunities for growth for team players with initiative.

Cons

Low pay in rural NH. Some staff can find work-life balance, but others are run into the ground due to low staffing and lots of work.

Pros

The staff and faculty work very hard, with very few resources. The staff works in fear most of the time, but band together and are very supportive of one another.

Cons

The leadership team works in secrecy. There is no transparency. The board has no idea what is going on. And weekend board meetings are well known drunk fests. The board conducts serious business while in a constant state of alcohol poisoning. Gossip is rampant. Some days you go in and wonder who will be fired. Most folks leave NEC on a sour note. Which is bad for business.
