Pros
I was able to meet a lot of people and learn more about customer service. Also learned a lot about sales.
Cons
Little to no praise for hitting sales goals or closing deals. Sales staff was told that they would be given leads once there was effort and results shown for each persons territory. Top sales people were not given these leads (the majority of the time). Favoritism ran rapid and upper management rarely spoke to employees who were not favorited. Pay is poor and commission structure actually took money away from reps. Long hours were necessary to complete the job but the more time you put in the less money you made. Low moral. Marketing department is discouraged from working with sales department (if the two could work together, it could only help sales)
