Pros

Good support from other staff.

Cons

Extremely reluctant to hire full time instead hire "freelancers" that are essentially there all the time.

Job started out like a dream, but didn't end that way

Pros

I was surrounded by smart and fun colleagues. I got to read and learn about interesting things and events every day, and help readers better understand the world around them.

Cons

Leadership was opaque at times. It was hard to get to know people outside of working hours or just to get to know them to move around the company, so I stayed in the same position longer than I ever had at any company. Opportunities abound, but office politics abounded, too. When I applied for another position, for example, I was told, "They don't know you." It was like a Catch-22.
