one of the all time best institutions in the world. the company is unionized so acts as a "benevolent" employer meet and hear some of the greatest journalists in the world

Pros

There's no better platform or calling card fo a journalist than the New York Times. There's an enormous amount of pride walking into an office every day with the paper's name on the door.

Cons

It's difficult to support a family on the pay and the pace.
