Pros

Great benefits, generally kind people, good place to coast, pretty suitable work life balance.

Cons

Corporate bureaucracy has been alive and well here for 170 years. Not the most interesting work. Leadership is constantly changing directions and doesn't have the nerve to say no.

Pros

Incredible company mission, amazing people, extensive resources and opportunities to learn about the industry and make lasting connections

Cons

Extreme internal politics at every level, told to feel "grateful" for minimal pay and promotions because it's The New York Times, chaotic and conflicting corporate strategy

Pros

Legacy publication with impressive journalism and fairly good pay and benefits.

Cons

Limited mobility or room for growth within the company. Culture can be unwelcoming and it can seem like you are disposable at times.
