Pros

- Part of tech union, which makes job security better - Diff tech experience as an engineer at a company that isn’t directly a tech company - Work is fun and rewarding & easy to see impact - Social environment is very welcoming

Cons

- Lower pay for tech industry - Could benefit from more PTO - Overall company seems to create push back which created more need for the union to push back and have the bylaws followed - Silly attendance minimums - Days in office up to change when office wouldn’t support that change

Pros

Data culture is really good and collaborative, and department is full of interesting people from whom you can learn a lot. Work remains generally interesting on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

Data products are quite nascent for a company of this size and standardized "best practices" are still in-progress. Business-level management does not always do things in interest of workers.
