      Newrez is a company where more effort and a little bit of luck will advance your career

      Cons

      The company is highly dependent on the health of the broader home buying market, and layoffs will happen without notice across all departments within the company when the market takes a downward turn. In my experience coworkers were laid off regardless of contribution level or aptitude if their specific projects weren't critical to keeping the company afloat during lean times. Projects can be layered on thick, scope creep is inevitable, and company leaders will circumvent managers to place additional expectations on high performing ICs directly. Benefits are middling, and career progression is as much about luck as it is about aptitude.

      Cons

      Overwork and underpaid. Doesn't listen to employees and open door policy is just you ratting yourself out for termination. Violates ADA laws. Wrongfully terminates even if you're ill with good reason. ADA is controled by the company and will decline and write you up immediately.

      I found no positive aspects to todays meeting.

      Cons

      This left me feeling like an unimportant, useless part of this company. “Our success is due to a great executive management team and great technology”……Shane Ross. Well, so much for all us down in the trenches, working with no cost of living raise during out of control inflation. You’re welcome.
