Dangerous Place to Work

Pros

You will learn how to work with really difficult people. I guess there is a lesson in that.

Cons

It is a very political environment. A lot of negativity. A ton of focus on the CEO's passion ... getting Newsmax on TV. They ignore where the money is made ... financial publications and health publications. Leadership is controlling. The top managers are only there because they are "yes men" to the CEO. Not bad people really. They just don't dare challenge him. The biggest negative is that they have you sign a two year non-compete, and will enforce it ... even if you are laid off (which I was not). Don't work there unless they waive the 2-year non-compete.

Do not waste your time with this company

Pros

Decent salary...Free Snacks, nice location.

Cons

This place sucks, Complete lack of management organization. They don't care about you, and a very high turnover rate. Their sales department is a popularity contest, the company veterans get all the business. If you're new, most likely won't last... you might survive with a decent pay for a few weeks but that's about it.

We have been working to improve the management structure of the company, especially in sales. Our turnover rate is on par with the national average, but we are always looking for ways to improve our rate. Especially in sales, all new sales reps start at the same place, so veterans have built their business from scratch and have a lot more business because of that. If you have questions or concerns, you can always approach with suggestions.

Thank you for the suggestions. We have daily meetings with managers and employees, although not the entire company. If the information we are passing along is not getting filtered to you, feel free to ask your manager. Also, feel free to talk to me. My door is always open.
