Pros

Great product Potential for growth huge The product offers so much to the world Strong Engineering team

Cons

Newterra is one of the worst managed companies I have ever worked for. I have been working in engineering here for numerous years. The senior management team is very immature with no experience other than at Newterra. This causes the company to falter when it comes to growth. New employees that enter the company with any kind of competence are backstabbed simply because of fear from the existing management team’s lack of knowledge from the outside world. Outsiders are not readily accepted within the company. We recently had a procurement manager that was very experienced, he was a great support to the engineering team yet we let him go just when things were going well simply because he intimidated our Senior Managers and we are back too little to no support. Newterra is still in the 70’s when it comes to processes, LEAN Manufacturing etc.. I have heard over and over again that things will not work at Newterra because we are different. What’s different is the management team has little to no understanding of standard manufacturing processes. Communication is another failure at Newterra. We never get the truth and everyone knows it, our company’s communication meetings are a joke. The team’s incompetence shows through when it comes to implementation of new endeavours. The change is implemented then the management team will change direction and drop the implementation long before it has a chance to take effect. We have never followed through with a new process that really means something. Now we are looking at implementing a new ERP system - I am concerned as we do not have the internal knowledge to be successful and fear the outcome will be a catastrophe to say the least. I personally have moved six times in the last two years disrupting the whole company simply because it is the new flavor of the month.

Pros

Sales people from the day you walk in the door. "Friendly" do to incompetence and lack of any processes or profits. Brave faces and stockholders permanent job.

Cons

"Salesman", all of them especially management Be very careful with these incompetent local yokels, they have no clue how to assemble and test anything. It was easies place to figure out how to build and make profit for me, but, everyone there had no experience working for another company. It started out of a engineers garage and still had that culture.
