Pros

Work culture is good and management is supportive.

Cons

No Job security. You won't even get a single day notice. Lay offs are continuously done throughout the year.

Pros

There are so many perks! If you’re a salary employee, you get unlimited FTO that you’ll be too scared to take because you don’t want to end up on a list. When you do take it, you’ll never feel alone because people will continue to reach out to you to do things they are more than capable of doing on their own. You’ll have hourly opportunities to practice your deep breathing as you grapple with the overwhelming level of incompetence. You’ll have many chances to post fake reviews on Glassdoor because the company is getting trashed, rightfully so. You’ll receive your bonus, maybe, but it’ll be a fraction of what you’re supposed to get. If you’re an executive, you’ll be able to constantly fail and receive a cushy exit plan where you still get your bonus while half of your team has been let go. You’ll have the incredible opportunity to connect with local healthcare providers in your area as you will likely end up on high dose anxiety meds because you’re scared if you’re going to be in the next quarterly layoff. If you love sitting in traffic, Nextiva is perfect for you as they’ve decided to implement a return to office when gas prices are at a record high and inflation is destroying the working class.

Cons

Nextiva has undergone an incredible transformation. They went from being a company that cared about culture and the lives of their employees to a shell of their former selves. Their greed has blinded them from providing a quality place to work and a quality product. Now it’s all vibe coded slop thrown together by people working 16 hour days.

Pros

This was by far the most harrowing role of my career. The culture is toxic, leadership is petty and directionless. The company operates like a closed circle of loyalists who spend more time scratching each other’s backs than actually building a product. People are dishonest and blatantly appropriate work- my contributions were frequently taken without credit. The level of disrespect was astonishing! Leadership hires have been equally disappointing especially within poroduct marketing when - strategy and messaging was copied from competitors, with little original thinking or genuine collaboration. Feedback was vague and unhelpful, 1:1s were often cancelled, there was no real coaching, structure, or support—only undermining. The product itself is weak, poorly differentiated, and lacks innovation. Direction changes constantly, but never with clarity. “Hire and fire” is the norm here- good people don’t last, while toxic ones get rewarded. It was clear to me that things were on a downward slope, so when the layoff hit, I wasn’t surprised.

Cons

Honestly, none worth noting except for a few genuinely supportive managers, who unfortunately didn’t last long either which says a lot about the culture here.

I connected with our Head of Product Marketing around this. They appreciated you sharing this feedback and is sorry to hear about your experience and take concerns around culture, leadership, and recognition seriously. Over the past year, we’ve been taking steps to strengthen leadership development, improve cross-team collaboration, and ensure that employees’ contributions are recognized and valued. While we regret that your time here did not meet expectations, we remain committed to fostering a respectful, supportive environment. We appreciate your perspective and wish you the best in your career ahead.
