Pros

The opportunity to try different things and always being busy is why I’m still here. I keep learning new things. Dress code and the office is right for me.

Cons

There needs to be more on-boarding training for new employees. Training needs to be better. The first couple of weeks and in some cases months can be very confusing. Even information you need that’s related to your job isn’t readily available or easy to find. I think this needs to be fixed or we will face a growing problem and cycle of losing new employees. It’s also just bad for the business when people aren’t as knowledgeable as they should be. This is because one of the main things I’ve learned about this company is that you have to be self motivated and no one is going to be there to mentor you every minute. If you need support from your manager on a daily basis then you will fail. If someone reading this is thinking about joining Nextiva but uncertain and you know you need personalized attention then don’t waste your time by applying. It’s not the type of company for you.

Great benefits pay and time off

Pros

I am amazed at the benefits I get with my new job at Nextiva. They really go above and beyond to ensure that their employees are looked after. I’ve had 2 pay increases and a role change (a good one!) in the 8 months I’ve been here.

Cons

You have to invest in yourself, put your hand up and make sure you’re “seen” -- if you’re outgoing and extroverted you really benefit compared to being quiet and standing back. I think this is probably a little unfair.

We appreciate your feedback and continue to learn and grow as a company. We are always looking for great talent and will be providing education on diversity and bias to help create a greater awareness of the value that different thoughts, backgrounds, and views bring to us individually and as a company. Our intent is to make this a part of our culture and not something we specifically focus on, but instead embrace and is a part of our culture. We would love to hear any further suggestions you have in this area by sending your ideas to People@Nextiva.com
