Great Product, Great People, No Upward Mobility/Growth and Zero Fun

- Fun, Smart, Positive employee base - Product is on fire and will only continue to grow with introduction of FC - CEO and Founders are visionary and A players

Cons

- Becoming NetApp 2.0....will hire literally anyone and everyone from Netapp - Management is ineffective, inexperienced, and unable to provide career progression. - a lot of lip service in regards to new roles and growth, with no actions to back them - Company has a mind set they are a huge enterprise organization....news flash they're not yet. - Pay is low, no standard of living raises, offer RSUs with year long vest schedules (essentially do there best to make employees stay by offering more stock in exchange for no raises or promotions) - Managers do not want anyone to ask questions or make waves, do so at the risk of being looked at as a martyr - Company was great Pre-IPO, now it has a zero fun policy, and with no pre-ipo stock incentive there is no reason to be there. - working from home is forbidden and micro-managing is over the top - senior leaders tell you they are committed to the company and believe in it, which sounds great and all, but a quick google news search shows constant dumping/selling of there stock.

Pros

Product Architecture is cool if you are engineer, great to sell if you are in sales and great to support if you are in support. Engeering team is high quality working on cool projects, sales team is best in class and pushing a hot product. Support features built into product show the insight of the founders and why customers love us. Their testimonials keep me going.

Cons

Changed admin leadership to group that is not of the original culture. Very self important and not authentic. Stuffing company reviews and making sure constructive dissent is not heard. CFO should learn to be humble like the founders are and that not all the employees are below him. We know he doesn't care to hear from us....but likes us around for parties to make him feel good.

When you walk into an engineering meeting and there are more managers than engineers, you have a serious problem. Updating status seems to be more important than doing actual work. Every manager is trying to push for their own processes without putting any effort in understanding if it makes sense.
