Pros

You are in a close environment with your colleagues and through this environment, competition and creativity thrive. There are a variety of tools available for you to be successful and expect to grind for three months making sales calls...you should know this from the beginning. Due to the short sales cycle, you can realize success relatively quickly and office leadership is there to help you success any way they can.

Cons

Hours are going to be long and the grind of sales calls can create monotony. Zero professional courtesy when it comes to the customers of other brokers...Expect to hear from your customers about the calls or emails they're receiving from other NTG brokers (you'll probably hear that you don't work there anymore as the excuse to take your business). An internal tool has been created to verify if a company is working with NTG already and is intentionally ignored, forcing you to work while looking over your shoulder. This cannibalistic approach to sales procurement is unprofessional and will catch up to you. Commission structures will change at least once a year and you should be prepared to do more work for less. The farm hiring of employees in January and June restricts resources to smaller offices and more senior people are sacrificed to continue training of the new hires.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate all feedback from current and former employees while we continue to improve from within. At NTG, we provide resources and tools for our Account Managers to grow and succeed at every office. The Logistics industry is a fast-paced environment and, just like with any other job, our employees get out of the job what they put into it on a daily basis. NTG promotes employees from within who show the qualities of great leaders, not based on tenure. We have two training classes per year where new employees go through hands-on training, giving them the best tools to succeed in their roles at NTG. We believe these Training Programs are vital to the growth and success of NTG offices across the country. We thank you for your time with NTG and wish you the best of luck in our future endeavors!

Pros

Fun atmosphere, laid back, televisions in office , base pay is good

Cons

Unprofessional, very young college mentality management. They don't take the time to coach you how to be a better sales person. There is no sales structure, you find random companies by searching in google and make cold calls all day. Hard work goes unnoticed at this company and effort means nothing. Hire to Fire company.

Pros

they had red bull sometimes

Cons

literally everything from the work culture to the management. My manager, Gerry, created a hostile work environment that made working there hell. There was preferential treatment because whenever I would ask questions he would just say "you should know that already" and ignore me but when some other people would ask questions, he'd rush over to help them. As the only asian american person in the office, I felt a bit targeted like he just expected me to know things on my own and not extending the same expectations to everyone. Also, the work culture was like we were little kids stuck in middle school. Our managers would tell us that we MUST be working from 8AM til 5PM and couldn't pack our things or leave a moment earlier than 5. I was also given a formal warning for arriving to work ON TIME and seeing my manager but I had forgotten my laptop in my car. Even after messaging my manager that I would need 2 extra min to go grab my laptop, he issued me a formal warning for constant tardiness... It made 0 sense and I felt either that I was being targeted or the culture was that insane. Either way, it was messed up that my manager was allowed to scream at me in office rooms when I wanted to discuss problems I had with his behavior lol. All around awful place to work and 0 ethics. I wish I could give this place a 0.
