Unrealistic Expectations

Pros

- No dress code - Made a lot of friends - Despite the entire experience, not a bad place to start a career.

Cons

- Very Poor Management // Employees do not have a voice and are not taken seriously when in need of help/change. - Very low pay especially factoring in the insane workload. -No work/life balance // Whether it’s sales or operations, you’re expected to work on the weekends if you have to because “it’s your job”. -Little to no help on major accounts, you’re expected to do it all, especially since the VPs show up and just do nothing. Good luck asking some of them for help on their own accounts, I’ve been hit with “I don’t know and I don’t care, just do whatever you need to do.” Shortly after that I get told why did I approach a situation a certain way despite being told to just do whatever I felt needed to be done. - On top of low pay, good luck trying to get a raise, it’s just not going to happen. Some of my former colleagues have been asking for raises for over 2 years and nothing has changed. - Very high turnover rate, the company spent a lot of money on a new office because they’re “growing” but 20 of 30 new people get fired within a month or two of working. The company only hires sales now and does not even think to add to the Operations team despite every person in Ops being physically and mentally worn out. - The company will increase someone’s salary to move from sales to Operations because their sales numbers are horrible and need the help in Operations, but they won’t just give their own Ops raises. - You’ll get written up for small issues but when you ask for help on certain situations and don’t receive it, you’re bound to do something wrong but it’ll all fall back on you.

Call center not a true sales role!

Pros

It pays some of the bills.

Cons

Too many cons to list. For starters, this company targets new grads from college and is just a call center. There is no legitimate ongoing sales development training. The management team is young unqualified 20 somethings that have never been in management roles and don’t know how to keep business and personal relationships separated. Lots of drama and unnecessary pressure. Unrealistic goals and call expectations are placed on employees. If you expect to work remotely, forget it. They will micromanage the most seasoned sales professionals and think they are pushing you to succeed. If you need a temporary dead end job with high stress, this is the place. Pay structure and policies change without warning. If you make it past 6 months, you can be a team leader and put “sales manager” on your resume for your next job. If you are young and make friends in the right circle, you will get promoted.
