Pros

Nolan Transportation Group likes energetic, like minded & goal oriented recruits.

Cons

Direction can be quite sketchy. Key to success is "fraternity". The independence and unique professional can be left behind.

Thank you for your feedback! We value you getting to know your co-workers on more than an 8-5 level which is why we have social activities every week that are offered in the office (such as a water balloon toss), or going to a sports game with your co-workers after work. We want to be an open, fast-paced company that gives the opportunity for events outside of work.

Pros

If you like frat house vibes, this is the place for you. The place knows how to party and have a good time, no matter what the occasion.

Cons

The instability that NTG makes its employees feel makes for a difficult work environment, and it leads to constant stress. Frustration with constant changes is not something only I felt, as others have expressed similar issues. I am not the only employee who feels like this. Many feel very underappreciated, undervalued, overwork, and unheard. Most can (unfortunately) get past the first three, but the last one is very frustrating and hard to move on from. I know the company line in this is “everyone hates change”, but it's more of everyone hates feeling unsure and unsupported. When a vast and loud majority gives you feedback, it is imperative to listen to it. I enjoyed the connections I was able to make with parts of the office, but there is a large part of the culture here that is just harsh for no reason. Rudeness is rewarded large parts of the time, and it makes it hard for the good ones to break out and shine.

An honest review from a woman’s perspective

Pros

I made some friends I guess

Cons

This is a very discouraging environment, especially if you are a woman. If you are a woman looking into this job, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. This is a “bro culture” environment, which does not bother me BUT if you are a man who fits in with the culture you will get treated better. You will have better opportunities to succeed even if you don’t work hard at all. If you are a woman or someone who doesn’t “fit” this environment you will receive very weak leads, little help, and extreme micromanagement. I worked with this a guy on my own team who fit in perfectly, would make 5 calls a day, book nothing, just wandered around the office talking and no one ever said a word to him. People got laid off who worked so hard and he did not, because it’s a favorites game. Also, the market is crashing and they will blame you for that. If you’re in this June class, I’d reconsider. Also this place harasses people like crazy and if you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy RUINING someone’s day then don’t work here. I feel bad for the un resourceful leads they give us. Anyone on earth deserves better than this harassing call center they call a “job”.
