Pros

Coworkers were cool. Gives you the greatest relief you’ve ever felt in your entire life when you quit.

Cons

Micro management. They would rather lose their good employees rather than fix their unqualified and toxic managers who create hostile work environments. Frat-house environment. They pump you up with free Red Bull so you don’t feel the burn out they cause you. You gain weight even if you gym every day. Hair loss and gaining white hair. You actually have to pay your coworkers/assistant with your own commission don’t know how it’s legal for a company to make their employees pay for each other’s salaries and commissions.

Operations

Pros

You can dress casually for work.

Cons

I would encourage anybody considering working for this company to read all reviews and pay attention to the negative reviews. I can speak with experience and confirm that the negative reviews are spot on. Yes, you can wear jeans to work and you will get free beer on Fridays but it is not worth the little pay and the little respect that you will receive in return. Account Managers have about 4 months from when they begin working to get together a book of business, if they don't, they will be fired. Operations have better job security but are tasked with cleaning up the messes that the inexperienced account managers make. I have, on more than one occasion, got cussed out by a carrier because an account manager screwed up. Management never makes the account managers own up to their actions. Many employees have also been hired to be operations coordinators only to be moved to just track shipments after training. To add on to the lies that Nolan tells, the commission that they claim the operations coordinators get is non existent. There is also an after hours phone that most employees get about once a month. You are expected to answer the phone when it rings... even at 4 a.m. The after hours phone was never mentioned during the job interview.

Turning into another TQL

Pros

Can make money quick....if your lucky

Cons

Company was great when it started. Expanded too quick and have had to make a lot of cuts over the past year. You will not have a career here for more than 2 years as a broker. NTG will let you go for slipping sales margins at some point or another. The more you make the more is expected until they let you go and keep your accounts. When I joined I had hoped this company wouldn't follow this model, but the more money they borrow and the bigger their debt becomes, they have gone more and more into the TQL model of hiring you kids, making them do sales calls, letting them go and keeping the business they bring in.
