Pros

Continues to maintain and implement policies that support employee diversity

Cons

Low pay for support staff (in comparison to similar jobs descriptions in different companies) Direction provided by upper Visual Management is often undermined and in opposition to direction given by Sales Floor/Store Management; making job success both difficult and frustrating.

Pros

Most people are great to work with, although morale was pretty low right before I left. It was easy to move up if you were on the sales floor and it was very easy to achieve sales goals. Management was very encouraging if you expressed a desire to move up.

Cons

Company eliminated numerous upper support roles, causing most in those roles to be stagnant in regards to upward movement. Management expressed favoritism when promoting. LOTS of gossip that it almost felt like being in high school.

Pros

They are socially conscious, they pay well, and the benefits and RRSP program are great. The majority of people who work here are friendly and lovely.

Cons

The HR department is not helpful in regards to issues with managers, they always side with the manager and don't have workable solutions. It can be difficult to move up if one isn't willing to move to another store/city. They do not treat their mangers well and expect too much without giving them work/life balance.
