Pros

I really liked working at Nordstrom because it is a crash course to how to run a business. In order for you to succeed, you need to do a lot. Because it is based on commission, you need to be active and ready to sell everyday.

Cons

You have to work a certain number of hours in order to receive benefits. And a crash in the economy does not merit lack of performance passes.

Pros

Nordstrom has a very good, competitive environment to work in. The people especially senior management are experienced and eager to help.

Cons

If you are a salesperson, which majority of the company is, then you work based off commission which can be tough and coworkers can be cut throat.
