      Favoritism, unfairness, and neglect

      Pros

      Shopping discount, location, and that’s about it.

      Cons

      Weak leadership, particularly so in Technology. Massive waste and churn in Technology. Extreme favoritism and exclusion within and among Technology teams. Virtually useless HR and recruiting teams.

      Pros

      Unlimited PTO, plus the other people on the team are AMAZING. I love my direct managers, and they do their best to make you feel appreciated. The new CEO seems like she wants to push the company in the right direction, and I'm excited to see where she's headed.

      Cons

      Constantly losing people due to low pay. Management micromanages everything, expects you to train people as soon as you're out of training, yet you get ZERO pay raises. No structure for moving up/getting raises. Stylists/sales people will treat you like dirt despite the fact that they couldn't make half their sales without you. Stylists get trips to Hawaii for doing well, yet the Service Team gets sent home early without pay if they do well. Management will give you more responsibilities in order to "prepare you for a promotion/new role", and then give the promotion to someone who didn't take on any extra responsibility to get it.

      Nordstrom Discount, Empathetic Peers, Unlimited PTO

      Cons

      Management is a mess. There has been a lot turnover, and Nordstrom's solution is to take people from the corporate office that have little to no training or knowledge on how business works outside of Nordstrom. You'll hear a lot of talk but see no action.
