Welcome aboard and thank you for taking time to leave us a positive review of your experience so far! We are thrilled you are here and we know you are going to add tremendous value to our NAB team. As you know, the onboarding does not end once the "formal" training is over, so please feel free to reach out to anyone on the People Operations Team or our Executive Leadership Team if we can help you lessen the learning curve in any way. Thank you again and welcome to the team!

Pros

I enjoyed working with HMS and truly felt I had a career with them.

Cons

The resources were limited due to merge, but moving forward the future is very bright for the hospitality portion. I recommend it to anyone with extensive POS background and payment processing.

I always feel particularly grateful when a prior team member provides a positive review, so thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback for us. We recently had senior leadership from our Hospitality Group speak at our June Town Hall and I agree with you 100% that the future is very bright for this group. We have amazing innovations in technology and an even more amazing team working hard to provide great products and services for our merchants...time to pull out the sunglasses! Thank you for the time, effort and energy you gave to NAB/HMS, and thank you for leaving this positive review, we appreciate it.

Pros

Pay is good comparatively to competitors.

Cons

They don’t care about employees. I worked there for almost two years and during that time we lost five managers in the same department, we kept loosing analysts because they overwork you, and you are constantly on the phone being yelled at by customers instead of performing risk duties. I also reported two individuals: one for not doing their job on a daily basis (nothing was ever done) and then for a manager who kept harassing me and blaming me for an automated email he kept receiving by the system. Finally, they have no sense of a personal life. They constantly had you working 10 to 12 hours overtime (everyday) but it was ‘voluntary’. Luckily, I quit right in the knick of time because they changed from hourly to salary pay so they wouldn’t have to pay you for overtime.

While we never like to see a one-star posting, we do appreciate your feedback. I was able to collaborate with our Enterprise Risk Management Leadership and while they were aware of your situation, they shared there were misperceptions in your review. We respect your personal perspective and do not wish to debate in this forum so, even though you are no longer employed at NAB, I sincerely encourage you to reach out to me personally to discuss your concerns at any time. That being said, there is one point I am compelled to shed insight on, and that is your statement that we changed from hourly to salaried pay so we wouldn't have to pay overtime. You may not know this, but when changing an employee's classification from non-exempt to exempt, employers like NAB first make sure the duties and responsibilities of the position meets all applicable exemption criteria. This is such a critical process that we engaged Lockton Consulting to evaluate, benchmark and make the appropriate recommendation applying both Federal and State tests. If there is any doubt as to whether the position qualifies for exemption, it should remain classified as non-exempt. In this case, it was clear that the position was exempt, so we made the appropriate changes after communicating with the team. The feedback we have received from other team members about this change has been overwhelmingly positive as it also allows these team members to participate in our annual bonus pool and flexible PTO benefit which was not available for these positions before. Again, we are happy to speak to you in more detail if desired, thank you.
