Pros

A lot of job security, and Northeast Georgia Health System pay Atlanta salaries despite being 50 miles outside of the city.

Cons

There is limited advancement opportunity for professional staff, and it is quite easy to get "stuck" in a position. The health system needs to do more to develop professional staff.

Pros

Stability, and pride in the work you do. Also, the employee benefits are great. You also work with highly experienced colleagues, and it is a great place to learn a very useful set of skills for your professional future.

Cons

Management could be better, and the infrastructure could be modernized a bit. Also, the savings plan is very fair, but it could always be slightly improved which im sure would be very much appreciated.

Pros

The monetary compensation is competitive. NGHS pays well, as good as any hospital in Atlanta. Gainesville and the surrounding area is a great place to live.The hospital has attentive physicians. The hospital has dreams of being big among hospitals in georgia and says that strides are being made to remain competitive in technology and skill.

Cons

Small town politics seems to be rampent in Georgia. The era of good ole' boy has been handed off to good ole' girl. A lot of defensiveness among managers when confronting clinical experience in employees.
