Frustrating at best...could be a lot better if they didn't fear change.
Pros
Company has innovative products. Founders are still actively involved in day-to-day operations and are a constant presence on the factory floor. On-site cafeteria, ATM and dry cleaning service is convenient. Very family oriented and coworkers are very friendly and pleasant to work with.
Cons
Lack of training, outdated processes and no initiative by management to change things is extremely frustrating. Lots of old timers who are comfortable and just riding things out until retirement makes growth impossible. People are comfortable with doing things the same old way, no incentive to change even though it would save money, eliminate waste and increase productivity. High deductible health insurance plans. Only 2 weeks PTO (sick and vacation combined).
