Performance doesn't matter

Pros

Free products that taste great. Great facilities and amenities if you work at the office. Supports muscular dystrophy association and participates in charitable events

Cons

Too much of a good ole boys club. Favoritism reigns supreme. Time is not invested in all employees only select ones. Those in leadership positions should not be. Leadership is not helpful and will do more to hurt you than help you succeed. Competition is not encouraged and is frowned upon by management. If you perform poorly at your position you are likely to get a promotion. While those that excel at their jobs are put under a negative light because they're not one of the favorites.

Pros

Flexible hours. Good products, although lately the company has been trying to introduce too many new products all at once. Very modern office complex in Texas.

Cons

Poor communication. No diversity at the corporate office. Don't ever mention missing church or you will never hear the end of it. The management team routinely hires and promotes friends over qualified candidates. High turnover in the outside sales division.

Poorly handled the pandemic

Pros

Nutrabolt sells a good dream and the people are truly some of the best bunch you can work for. There are a lot of great perks like meals and gym stipend and events during the month. There is a lot of opportunity to learn cross functionally and collaborate with other departments. The open office concept makes it easy to get to know everyone.

Cons

Where to even begin... the senior leadership can not be trusted. We are currently without a CFO, COO, and CMO who all left in the last year..... Nutrabolt has its growing pains like any other relatively new company. High staff turnover. Supply chain and inventory issues are the biggest pain point that stresses every department. Grandiose plans are out in motion and abandoned just as quickly so it’s hard to know the standard at any given time. I didn’t have a serious issue with the company until the COVID19 pandemic that they handled extremely poorly. All new hires should be aware that you are completely dispensable and replaceable despite the family culture and there is no loyalty or reward for being a good employee. I want to give an honest review of how we’ve been treated through this. One week, they were promising that things were okay and the next week 1/3 of the workforce was quietly laid off or furloughed. People that had been with the company for several years were let go with no explanation and we were all told that it wasn’t about ‘performance’. Director level jobs were eliminated just the same as associate level. Pay cuts were issued across the board to all positions ranging from 10% to 25%. We’ve been told this is our reality indefinitely until revenue goes back up to pre pandemic numbers. A month later, we were told that an exciting and shiny ‘Nutrabolt 2.0’ was coming with the ‘next now’ that includes hiring new talent to try to get us excited. There is zero trust with leadership and everyone seems overworked, every department is bare bone, and process has completely lapsed. Disgruntled people are leaving and talking about leaving right and left. The business decisions don’t make any sense but we aren’t allowed to question it. It really looks glamorous from the outside, but it’s chaos and commotion for everyone inside.
