Poor wages, no benefits, crappy schedule, immature management
Pros
The Fillibertos next door has great carne asada!
Cons
If the headline doesn’t sway you to look else where, look no further. Over 10 years management and parts counter experience with a rival competitor landed me a PT counter/shift manager position at this dinosaur turd of a company. I got to work the shifts no one else wanted, get called in on my days off, still only to get my later in the week shifts covered and get PT hours with no benefits. Mind you they would keep me just under the cut off at 30-36hrs a week. I had the highest sales ratios for the time I was in the store. They say you get “commissions” but in reality the entire store has to hit their number, then you get a measly $50 -$100. I would put up six figure sales numbers monthly and get nothing in return. You should realize how cheap they are and how little they give a crap about employees on day one when they sit you down in the dirty back room on an outdated computer to order (and pay out of your first check) for their uniform shirts. They’re like $35 ea too. Trust me, you can do better. Any other auto parts retail job is better than O’reilleys. They prey on people who don’t have other opportunities. As soon as I got one I left the n a hurry.
