Pros

You gain experience in the pharmaceutical world by interacting with doctors and staff members. That's the only pro here...

Cons

A great deal of them: Products are constantly on back order, The regional managers have no business being in that position because they aren't good at sales; the national sales manager is terrible at what he does, and you will see why when you work with him. Upper Management is always lying to the reps and have a sort of "high school" mentality talking about them to whomever behind the reps back. There is not a great deal of reps who have been with the company long term as a lot of them left apparently for the above reasons.

Pros

The Doctors and staff are great to work with. The products are great and there are PLENTY of them to choose from!

Cons

This entire company is a challenge. Let's start with Management; or the lack thereof. You have 2 Main managers that work against you at all costs. They switch your priorities weekly! They are so unorganized that they sabotage your ability to really grow, then yell at you for not growing! They are so hypocritical and so hard to communicate with. My favorite is the male manager that loves to say "call me when you need help." Ha, he is a joke. He never returns phone calls or emails. The Managers all wear too many hats, things change so much that they are not very good at telling you your goals clearly. Everything is very ambiguous and confusing. Products that are pushed go on back order. Your inside sales team works against you, too. The owners are Husband and Wife who obviously don't communicate very well, either. There is a serious disconnect here. We also have had most of our territories taken away, so even if you sell to people, you may not get commission! You really have to fight hard to be heard, and as hard as you fight, no one is listening. If you're ok with being spoken down to by Management, this is your job. You also cannot have an opinion. Your safest words when communicating with Management are, "ok" and "yes." Don't ask a question!! Oh wow. I'm looking for a new job now.

Territory Sales Manager

Pros

You will learn a little of everything about the eye industry pharma, retail sales, and the feeling of "fear" of losing your job everyday.

Cons

Never can please upper management, numbers are constantly changing.... then you dont hit your numbers to bonus. Products you bonus on are always on backorder. They are consistantly telling you every little detail that you have done wrong. God forbid you forgot the receptionist name in the call notes! They are ripping apart everything because they had bad hires!
