Pros

1. Collaborative and Innovative Environment: OKX fosters a collaborative and innovative work culture, which encourages engineers to explore new ideas and technologies. The company values input from every team member, creating an environment where everyone's opinions are heard and respected. 2.Cutting-Edge Technology: As an engineer at OKX, I have had the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and frameworks. The company prioritizes staying at the forefront of the cryptocurrency industry, providing engineers with exciting challenges and opportunities for professional growth. 3. Strong Emphasis on Learning and Development: OKX is committed to the growth and development of its engineering team. They offer various learning resources, including workshops, conferences, and online courses, to help engineers stay updated with the latest industry trends and enhance their skills. 4. Impactful Work: Working at OKX, I have had the chance to contribute to a rapidly growing and influential industry. The projects I've been involved in have a tangible impact on the world of cryptocurrencies, and it's fulfilling to see the results of our collective efforts.

Cons

1. Fast-Paced Environment: The fast-paced nature of the cryptocurrency industry can sometimes lead to tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. While this can be exciting for some, others may find it challenging to manage their workload and maintain work-life balance. 2. Communication Challenges across Time Zones: OKX's global presence comes with the inherent challenge of coordinating and communicating across teams in different time zones. Scheduling meetings and ensuring real-time collaboration can be complex, leading to increased costs and potential delays in project execution. 3. Cultural Differences: Working across different time zones introduces cultural differences, which can occasionally impact teamwork and communication. It requires patience, understanding, and adaptability to effectively navigate and bridge these cultural gaps.

Pros

1. Great WLB depends on team, and strong career progression for growth 2. Competitive welfare including health benefits, free lunch, parking, and team bonding budget

Cons

The company states with clear culture as “get things done”, which is quite different from the prior company I stayed, so it’s fast moving and communications are very clear. If you are looking for corporate America then it’s not the place for you.

Pros

The core values (we before me. get things done. do the right thing) truly drive the culture, actions and attitude across the company. It is fast paced so there is a lot of opportunity to get things done that make an impact and learn. I joined less than 1 year ago, and I am so happy that I did. Additional highlights of working OKX include: - Great onboarding with Day 1 information sharing to key internal resources and company priorities. - Really friendly, helpful, and passionate employees. Everyone is very open to helping, collaborating and working together. - Good benefits (health, 401K, plus employee wellness and education). - Fast paced, truly global operations and team. - Exciting and interesting range of products. - Many learning, growth and development opportunities.

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily call it a negative, but an important thing to be aware of is that global teams can require meeting times outside of the 9am-5pm window. In my experience, there is flexibility and consideration to reasonably accommodate across timezones when possible (e.g., swap between morning & evening meetings, etc.).
