      Pros

      The team at Otis is comprised of humble, hungry, and smart individuals. It makes it a fun place to work. People (including the customer) are at the center of the culture. The significant investment in people (employee scholar program) and technology will be the reason this company continues to be an industry leader.

      Cons

      As with any company with a legacy over 160 years, there are times when we are focused on what has been done in the past. The company would be served well be focusing on future improvements without thinking too much about past actions.

      Pros

      Within the legal department, current structure allows for a healthy balance of autonomy and support.

      Cons

      Non-executives do not have offices and instead work in open work stations (that are smaller and more open than standard cubicles), which is manageable but less than an ideal working situation particularly if one is on the phone. A positive aspect, however, of this less than ideal working set-up is that it encourages one to know thy neighbor.
