      Good benefits, fair salary, nothing else

      Cons

      Physicians are subject to multiple layers of management, including many non-physicians. The culture is come to work, see your patients, generate income for OhioHealth. If you voice opinions on ways to make changes to improve your work life or patient care they are not valued and you are labeled "difficult."

      Pros

      Pay and benefits are fair. Incentives make health insurance affordable.

      Cons

      A large company swallowing up smaller hospitals statewide. Decisions are made by people far from the bedside who you never see or get an opportunity to talk to. These people keep adding to the pile of job duties for those lower down the chain. Management models are not individualized for the smaller regional hospitals in their network.

      I loved OhioHealth but my department leadership was terrible

      Pros

      Many good perks for employees. Good tuition reimbursement. Some really great people.

      Cons

      Absolute micro management. Some incompetent managers. Promotion based on favoritism. I was written up for something I didn’t do more than once. HR refused to investigate. Discrimination. Rules that are enforced unequally among employees. I had nightmares and panic attacks after I started in my department. I have not had a single issue after taking a new job.
