Pros

No real secret that medicine is taking a turn for the worse every year. I like my job but management has to go. No real personalization- everything is cookie cutter and if you don’t fit in, you’re the problem. Because everyone else conforms to expectations; not me. I want to hold my employer to higher standards. So I will be moving on once I secure another job. It will likely be the same for a few years til I can transition to DPC. Care model is horrible, out dated and persecutatory for physicians and nurse practitioners and physicians assistants alike. And don’t call us “providers” when our training and skills are NOT the same. pros: I have a job.

Hybrid positions. Interesting work. Nice corporate office amenities.

Cons

Understaffed. Refused to fill positions when others would leave. Heavy work load. Many managers without adequate skills. Toxic work environment.
