      Horrible Culture

      Pros

      locations, yearly bonuses, lots of opportunities but difficult to move around unless you know people

      Cons

      pay is not the best, benefits are ok, culture is terrible - clicky high school nursing environment - horrible for experienced RN's transferring in. The upper management says they care so much about staff but all they really want is everyone to smile and "drink the punch". If you bring any real problems or concerns forward - they get swept under the rug and you get punished. HR is pro manager and not pro employee. Employees are expendable for this organization! Focus in on business not patients!!!

      Pros

      Benefits were decent. Magnet hospital. Focused on quality and excellence with great culture and values.

      Cons

      Large organization lacked individual focused attention to employees. The unit where I worked was always short staffed, which increased workload and created on-call requirements for weekends in addition to the weekends already required. There was no compensation or motivation to be increase employee self performance/improvement--every employee was given a standard yearly 3% raise.

      There is plenty of opportunities to grow and develop oneself. There is support for it as well.

      Cons

      Office politics still exist and unfortunately can hold people back from moving forward to their next step.
