      OhioHealth is the sum total of the people who work there; there is some good and some bad.

      Pros

      There are great people who work there, very talented and ethical people. The company is proactive in meeting the coming challenges of health care. I have worked with many fine physicians there. If you are a long term employee you generally have good job security.

      Cons

      The main problem I see is that senior leadership will engage in or tolerate unethical business practices for "favored friends." Other times the "favored friends" must be accommodated by others and it wreaks havoc with operations and budget. Apparently this is just business as usual for big corporations, or rationalized as necessary, but I find it disturbing.

      Pros

      Amazing coworkers - they get me through the day. Good perks, e.g. discounted tickets and admissions to various events; discounted prices on goods around central Ohio. Lots of extra curricular activities to get involved with.

      Cons

      Minimal training before you are thrown to the wolves. Focus has been shifting as of late and it seems to be heading towards a more financially driven focus. Management makes decisions that affect patient care without asking for input from the staff that deal with the patients all day. Awful work/life balance. High source of stress
