Pros

OhioHealth goes out of their way to accommodate Associates and provide for their well-being. Consistent salary increases, bonuses, 401k match, and cash- balance plan, spot bonuses, free tickets and events, individual and group awards, several fiscount programs, tuition payment and repayment programs, and a concierge all add up to happy Associates. Senior leadership has made tremendous strides to engage with Associates and listen and act on feedback. Some of the changes you see at OhioHealth are attributed to the feedback Senior leadership has received. Senior leadership has also empowered the lower level Directors and Managers to act on Associate feedback. Allof this helps create a better patient and Associate experince.

Cons

Change can be hard sometimes. Healthcare, competition and government regulations are always changing. You either change or get left behind. Those Associates at Ohiohealth that don't change get left behind. If you don't like change stay out of healthcare. Without education, opportunities for growth are limited. I do not gave that education and I am very fortunate to have advanced to a management position.
