Pros

Good health insurance, it's very clear they care about their patients and about quality healthcare. When you find the people you click with, you will build relationships that will last for the rest of your life. The way they approach healthcare education is innovative and extremely effective. They do seem to care about work-life balance. If you are a healthcare worker, this can be a good place--but if not, the "healthcare culture" permeates into the other jobs and if you don't have the same types of priorities and thought processes of the typical healthcare employee, you will be constantly criticized and disrespected.

Cons

It can be hard to find the people you click with. There is a rampant lack of communication and teamwork. If you are one of those people who likes to ask "why" you will be told you are too argumentative. They have this rather unhealthy idea that their employees need to constantly strive to improve--improvement is great, but they do not take the time to celebrate the things a person does well. Reviews are always focused on what could be better, and not what is good. When I started out I felt ostracized by my team members. This made me very depressed, so then I was constantly criticized for my attitude, rather than a single person asking what was wrong or trying to reach out to me. When I finally started finding people I liked to work with and a job I liked to do, they fired me. I was told that it was because I didn't fit my position, but with the contributions I clearly made in the time I was there, and the size of the company, I am dubious that there was no other position for me.

Pros

The benefits are decent. Some of the Nurses are great. There is always a chance for overtime. I love the 12 hour shifts and being able to have 4-5 days off a week and still be able to have benefits.

Cons

Some of the nurses are "too good" to answer call lights even if he/she knows that the patients wants meds. The PSA is usually extremely busy and still has to answer these call lights and then find the nurse to let them know the patient wants meds. A good majority of the time they are sitting at the nurses station having a conversation about their personal lives.
