The micromanaging

Pros

When you get used to it, it's a nice place to work in the case of your immediate coworkers who are on your level or in your direct management path

Cons

The out of touch the higher ups are only interested in money, going for the cheapest buck while driving patients and those who can't move up in the chain deeper in the hole.

Pros

As a USC, you have great flexibility in the role. They're able to accommodate with your schedule since you're the only person on the unit with that role. It's really great if you need a stable job. Really good benefits if you're going to school too!

Cons

The job isn't something you're going to grow in unless you want to transfer elsewhere and the pay isn't the best.
