Pros

The people you work with are great. You will work with people that will want to see you grow, build relationships that can withstand time. However, the higher up's (CIO's) make financial decisions for their own pockets at the expense of its employees.

Cons

This company no longer value's its IT Employee's. The CIO's decision to outsource the entire IT Division overseas goes against everything this company once stood for.

Politics, drama, harassment...not worth it.

Pros

I’m sure there is a decent department somewhere that values employee retention and wellness. Relatively good health coverage for full time employees. Tuition reimbursement (some covering 100%).

Cons

As others have mentioned, HR refused to investigate matters which I brought to their attention several times throughout my employment. Was told to bring concerns to my supervisor and resolve within. Unfortunately, it was management who was the problem, and the reason the department was a revolving door for turnover. Was told to do certain things for “protection”. Many felt the same but were afraid to speak up due to retaliation. My department was operated in a hierarchical, top-down fashion where little output was suggested from lower level staff. Hostile work environment where I was constantly reprimanded, though I never received formal training for the role. If you’re going to brag and boast about inclusion and being a place people want to come to work, do that. This was not my experience and obviously it is a system issue higher ups refuse to recognize. It’s truly a shame how many competent, well-qualified people have come and gone within this organization due to the refusal to investigate. It was an experience for sure.

Pros

Excellent benefits, leadership, competency and job security. OhioHealth treats their people well.

Cons

Health benefits can be at a higher rate than at a lot of places, but they offer various Wellness Programs and, if you're compliant, your annual premium will be reduced.
