Nurses - underpaid, undervalued, and staffing is unsafe

Pros

If you enjoy working in an environment where you are chronically understaffed...where some 60% of the nursing staff has been on the job for at least 5 years and experienced tenured staff are few and far between, have at it.

Cons

Low capped out salaries for tenured nurses...awful healthcare benefits with high deductibles and copays...punitive absence policies...sick/vacation days lumped together under "Time Away Pay" with an abysmal accrual rate for new and tenured staff alike...unsafe staffing ratios

Pros

Plenty of jobs available. Lots of open positions.

Cons

Way below market values for all of its employees. The absolute worst healthcare and retirement benefits. Well above 50% turnover rate. Moral is just awful. As long as they keep making billions in profit they could care less about their employees.

Pros

I've gained a newfound appreciation for financial frugality, learning to make the most out of a salary that can barely keep pace with the rising cost of.... well, everything.

Cons

Uneven workload distribution, incredibly high turnover rates, lack of career growth or advancement opportunities, abysmal compensation, zero oppo
