Pros

London office has a pretty good office spirit, and the entertainment budget is generous on most projects so there are plenty of opportunities for bonding with team members. Oliver Wyman brand name is also pretty respected, so exit opps are favourable, especially in non-profit and private equity. Long-term nature of most of the projects done out of the London office mean that the office is relatively immune to short-term fluctuations in the economy.

Cons

London office is till pretty small so there isn't that much by way of diversity in terms of projects that you can be staffed onto - mostly in retail, and mostly outside of London in England.

Pros

Good compensation and stretch opportunities for those with the appropriate drive/interest in finance

Cons

Long hours; sometimes little say in staffing - staffing is by availability moreso than what would work best for professional development

Pros

Oliver Wyman offers a challenging work environment, smart co-workers and competitive salary/benefits. The firm also does have unique intellectual capital which differentiates itself from other top-tier competitors. The firm requires consultants to specialize along vertical industries earlier than other firms which is valuable from a client standpoint.

Cons

Firstly, some practices rely on too few clients for revenue resulting in a very tenuous situation where one of two clients pull back. Secondly, the promotion from within culture, and deemphasizing MBA hiring leads to a unidimensional consultant profile and consultants lack a large network as they grow through their careers. Detrimental to growing business.
