Pros
Working remote was a plus.
Cons
Working remote was a negative when management becomes "friends" with in-office staff. Remote employees stand absolutely NO chance of building the same relationship. This leads to their nepotism policy coming into play. Remote employees who refer amazing candidates with amazing qualifications are ignored. How can a company continue towards their goals when friends of management bring in their family members who are less qualified? In turn those friends become management themselves and oversee hiring. It is pretty disheartening to someone watching remotely. Are the less qualified candidates interviewed before being hired? Are the qualified candidates even viewed? Their lack of diversity in upper management is disappointing considering this world is filled with members from all races, cultures, genders, and abilities are highly trained and fit the bill if given the opportunity.
