Pros

Good place to start if your new to Pharmacy. Easy to get hired. Lots of overtime if you want it. They have company paid medical. If your quiet you will go completely unnoticed that can be a pro for someone who is not very social. Low to no micromanaging. Depending on shift.

Cons

You will gain experience on your own-sink or swim situation, the training is horrible. unethical-low pay- entitled and lazy co-works-favoritism-no leadership at all. You will not feel like part of the team cause there is no team. Employees put in positions they are not qualified for. Only use “metrics” system. Quantity over quality. If you do something well or don’t complain or speak up they will take advantage of you. You will do the work of 2 people and it will go unnoticed. While “older employees” do whatever they want. Even if that means their fellow co-worker will suffer. There is no teamwork. They have no “rotation” or it’s not followed just a mere suggestion. You can and will be either filling while handling a very HIGH call volume for hours at a time or if you are a “favorite” you will never touch a script or the refill line. You’ll get to do data entry all day, regardless of how much help is needed on the floor.

Pros

The only pros of working in that place was a few of the staff members and paid benefits. That's all, seriously

Cons

Nepotism is popular there. If your are not related or not part of the inner circle then forget about it. Pay range is poor, very little raises if you are lucky to get one, lazy people who don't do their job or people who do way too much outside of what they are hired for with rewards to match. You will be underpaid and undermined there. They have no conscience whatsoever and they don't care about you otherwise they would appreciate your work ethic and actually pay you what you deserve instead of turning a blind eye and promoting people who clearly cannot do their the job well. Lack of empathy and morality is big there so if you don't like to suck up to the administrative staff then don't bother. Best thing in the world is leaving and finding employment elsewhere.

Pros

Closed door pharmacy environment Set schedule known months in advance One weekend per month Flexible and understanding managers

Cons

I don't really have any to mention, if i had to list one, it would be the expectation to be in an on call rotation (once/8 weeks) with other members of the pharmacist team
