Terrible, depressing place to work

Pros

Sometimes you can actually find a parking spot.

Cons

I was told a huge lie when they hired me about how they valued a friendly, supportive work environment and that they took real good care of their people. REALITY: My boss took 4 to 5 'lunchbreaks' a day, and would leave the entire department to be run by severely incompetent people. Several higher ups were very disrespectful and mean to employees, yet despite receiving complaints on a regular basis from many workers there, it was always swept under the rug. Blatantly. Talking to people who have been here for years confirms it has always been this way. There is a large number of people here who are family related and they simply are not held to the same standards as their fellow employees. Period. A LOT of childish politics. It was very common for people to talk behind each others backs and there is just sooo much passive aggressive behavior. The poor people who have worked here for over 5 years don't even realize they act this way. If this wasn't bad enough- they use broken unreliable equipment and the old school paper method for just about everything. Stuff breaks all the time and YOU will be the one who takes heat for a poorly designed system. Yes, this is one of THOSE jobs. It's not worth your time, trust me. Leaving this company was a major improvement in my life.

They were better when they first started

Pros

This is a good company to get started in. When they started out they were mostly concerned with the hospice patient's care. Now it's more about the bottom line .. ie the money,

Cons

They don't provide a lot of training on the systems you have to work on. There isn't a lot of organization as far as the digital systems as far as updating to a complete system. They still use a half way system, part paper, part digital.

Pros

Easy to get hired because there are no standards

Cons

Very inefficient company. The computer system we use is always down. We regularly process orders manually because the database or network is always down or very very slow. They rave about expansion and always talk about how advance their system is but we normally use Excel to create labels for orders. IT Department is full of arrogant incompetent people. They do not listen when we say that the system is slow unless it is completely down. I started looking for another job when I got reprimanded for losing some orders in the system when the system went down. Thinking it went thru, The order was not fulfilled and I was blamed for it.
