Pros

At the time of the most recent RIF, there were zero pros. Beforehand, while under the direction of previous leadership, there were lots.

Cons

New management, lack of empathy, lack of direction. Just trying to set themselves up to be sold because their private equity company wants to offload them. They've wanted to for years.

Pros

PTO and PTO carry over

Cons

I can sum up my experience at this company with two words. Toxic Culture. 75 percent of the sales engineering team left voluntarily within a 9 month period and the terrible leadership is absolutely a common denominator. The leadership team really struggles from the top down. They encourage their employees to have an “entrepreneurial attitude” as a way to justify the unmanageable workload and terrible work life balance, yet do not offer any equity. Leadership allows sales reps to run rampant and there is no structure as far as sales engineer alignment to sales reps. This makes it very difficult to get at bats and opportunities as a sales engineer. A few sales reps run this sales organization and dictate who they work with. In turn, they have run the culture into the ground with their critical and cancerous behavior. Lack of appreciation for the work the sales engineers do is an understatement. Hardly any recognition is given across the sales organization for sales engineers. If you would rather avoid nepotism, favoritism, and corporate politics in the worst way, I recommend to stay far away from this company. They are making acquisitions left and right to beef up the company to sell so there is truly no long term future at this company. Their growth has diminished greatly and there are zero opportunities for advancement.

Pros

A few great coworkers doing their best despite the dysfunction.

Cons

Take the highly rated reviews with a grain of salt. This is a place you go if you want your career to plummet. You won’t be challenged, you won’t grow, and you won’t make any real money. It’s a complete waste of time. The culture is toxic, leadership is inept, and mid-level management offers no real coaching, just telling reps to “sell more” with no strategy or support. Processes are painfully inefficient: it takes days to get answers to simple customer questions and a week or more for contract approvals, costing you deals and commissions. Literally, some folks have missed their month/qtr targets because legal couldn’t approve a contract in time. Absolutely no sense of urgency! Accounting even miscalculates payouts might I add because commissions tracking is so manual. They’ve been trying to merge multiple brands into one unified platform, but the rollout has been slow and clunky. Reps are forced to sell across three or four disconnected products with limited clarity or direction. Deal sizes are tiny, most upsells are only a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, and nearly no one hits quota. The company also forces rigid in-office mandates, sometimes five days a week, and some managers cross personal boundaries when employees have family obligations.
