Pros

The family leave program is actually pretty good, (maternity + Paternity leave). The 401k match is also okay nothing special but at least there is one.

Cons

Very low pay given the industry, what you are selling, and who you are selling to. Onit is PE backed and the PE firm needs an exit, keep this in mind. The goal is to squeeze everything out of you and their clients to sell Onit ASAP. The management team also has limited experience in the industry/don't know much about the actual products Onit sells - you will get limited support.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear our family leave program and 401(k) match were meaningful benefits during your time with us. We also appreciate your honest feedback. We know compensation, support, and clear enablement are essential, and we’ve been reviewing our pay structures and investing in stronger product training and leadership development to better support our teams. We’re committed to fostering a culture of transparency, growth, and trust. While we’re sorry your experience didn’t fully reflect that, we’re grateful you took the time to share your perspective, and we wish you the very best in your next chapter.

Pros

A few great coworkers doing their best despite the dysfunction.

Cons

Take the highly rated reviews with a grain of salt. This is a place you go if you want your career to plummet. You won’t be challenged, you won’t grow, and you won’t make any real money. It’s a complete waste of time. The culture is toxic, leadership is inept, and mid-level management offers no real coaching, just telling reps to “sell more” with no strategy or support. Processes are painfully inefficient: it takes days to get answers to simple customer questions and a week or more for contract approvals, costing you deals and commissions. Literally, some folks have missed their month/qtr targets because legal couldn’t approve a contract in time. Absolutely no sense of urgency! Accounting even miscalculates payouts might I add because commissions tracking is so manual. They’ve been trying to merge multiple brands into one unified platform, but the rollout has been slow and clunky. Reps are forced to sell across three or four disconnected products with limited clarity or direction. Deal sizes are tiny, most upsells are only a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, and nearly no one hits quota. The company also forces rigid in-office mandates, sometimes five days a week, and some managers cross personal boundaries when employees have family obligations.

We understand how important clear processes, effective leadership support, and opportunities for growth are for anyone in a sales role.
