Pros

Onward is great because management allows you to have a say in whichever way you want to grow. Most employees start out as Recruiters, and then are suggested which role to grow into but it's ultimately your choice. So is your style. The bottom line is you getting your job done, and if you do you can do that you're allowed whichever style you please.

Cons

Having a lot of room for your own growth can be a double edged sword. Either you thrive or your fail. All of Onward's offices have great management that will step in mentor you in the best ways to succeed. There is leniency, but you're in a sales position and have to perform.

Pros

Working with Katie O and Bernard H was a pleasure. The two of them kept me informed and up to date throughout the process, even contacting me after 5pm to confirm dates and status'. You can tell this company, specifically these two have a passion for what they do! If any of my friends in the digital space were to be looking for a job, I would 100% send them their way. A+ performance all around.

Cons

Absolutely none. Salary was negotiated on my behalf for what I was looking for.

Provided benefits (not great, but better than cobra) and great hourly rate.

They were afraid of rocking the boat with their client. I was expensing AND not being reimbursed , for software the Fortune 500 company I was placed in should have paid for. I asked a month in advanced if I was renewed and Onward Search said I was. 1 week before the holidays, I was let go by their client. My advice to anyone reading this review; ask to see the contract renewal agreement. Don't ever take a consulting company's word. They make money by keeping you there. If you leave early, they know the chance of placing someone else is slim. I don't blame Onward Search entirely, but they shouldn't have kept telling me I'd be renewed when they really didn't know. I should have asked to see the renewal agreement. The other lie was they would help place me somewhere else. Haven't heard from them since I was let go. They're positng a jobs. I just saw that one of their employees reach out to another consultant I've worked with, from a different consulting company, with job opportunities.
