Pros
I have worked in staffing for a large portion of my career, and have loved my time with Onward! I am not going to say it is perfect in every way possible, because we all know that is never the case. What I can say is that I have yet to find another company that offers the type of environment, structure, and opportunity that Onward Search has offered me. It has not always been an easy road, in fact there have been a bunch of struggles throughout my time here, but as a Sales employee we all expect a roller-coaster ride from time to time. I get to work with amazing people, and luckily get to call most of them friends. Since I started I have advanced my career, and have an opportunity to continue to grow.
I see some positive reviews, and some negative throughout the offices listed here, and truly it may be right. As a growing company there will always be growing pains, and no company is for everyone. With that said, I don’t believe there is a better opportunity in the industry. Onward lets me operate in the way I find most successful, and be a person not a salesman. I have worked for start-up sales organizations, as well as Fortune 500 companies, and Onward Search (especially the NYC office) is a great middle ground. Overall I would and have suggested many people to Onward, and will continue to do so. I can tell you one thing, I can’t see myself leaving anytime soon.
Cons
I would love to see continued expansion within the offices, and divisions. In order to get to where I want to be that will be crucial. There are times as we get bigger, we lose a little of our start-up feel but luckily we have enough “personalities” to keep it fun and light, let’s hope it stays that way. Training is key, we have had some good programs but I think this is an area we can continue to be better, especially for those green to the recruitment industry.
