Pros

Option Care has the potential of becoming a leader in the industry. It has great clinical protocols and policies and great clinicians working there.

Cons

The company is going thru a lot of changes too quickly. This has generated frustration and confusion for the staff. The senior management comes up with new initiatives and directions without doing enough research and consulting with those who are closer to operations to make sure they will work. For the most part, after the implementation, they learn that the new process/ initiative will not have a great return. Meanwhile, a lot of man power and resources have been used to implement the project. This is the number one reason for low level of staff engagement which has resulted in low patient satisfaction.

Pros

I love my patients and the autonomy.

Cons

Oh where do I begin. There has been a revolving door of nurse managers over the past few years. The last 2 were fired for unsavory reasons. So I believe they were desperate to hire another body, so we wound up with our current nurse manager. WORST micromanager I have ever had going back to my first job at 16! She is mean, treats you like a child, reprimands you like a child, gives no positive feedback, only negative naggy nitpicking feedback. Rules change as the wind blows. No teamwork amongst the nurses, it's every man for himself. Optioncare is all about the bottom line. The investment company who bought out Walgreens will dump Optioncare the second it turns a profit.

Pros

Some good people here and that is truly the only good thing. Nothing really comes to mind.

Cons

Money comes first here. Not that is a bad thing but when patient care is sacrificed and nurses are forced into situations that jeopardize their licenses it then becomes a problem. Staffing is a serious issue, we are constantly short staffed and it is getting worse. Pharmacists are leaving, and the rest are disgruntled and miserable with that amount of work dumped on them. No encouragement here either, if you do a great job beyond what is expected you get no reward, no congrats.
